A little while ago I received a call from my good friends at Flexifoil, asking me if I was free to do some on-the-spot editing for an event happening in September. It wasn’t just any old event either, but a World Record attempt by Sir Richard Branson and roughly 320 other passionate kite surfers. The goal was to raise money and awareness for three fantastic charities, Snowcamp, RNLI and Virgin Unite. Virgin, Flexifoil International, Best Kiteboarding and King of Watersports, along with an armada of other sponsors came together to support the event and make it a roaring success. The aim was to get the largest ever armada of kitesurfers out, at the same time, to cover the course of a mile just off Hayling Island. Once complete the kiters would then head off on an epic downwinder to Lancing, some 48 miles along the coast. This short edit is the result of a fantastic day, and couldn’t have happened without the help and enthusiasm of all the volunteers, organisers and participants. Enjoy! ——————————————— Please take a look at my new project: http://mannedcamera.com I am now able to offer Arri Amira hire at significantly reduced rates for projects where I can accompany the camera and either assist or shadow an experienced Director of Photography. Please don’t hesitate to contact if you have an interesting project for which you need equipment. ———————————————
